Who is Dr. Partha ?
Internship is an important part of your education. It will help you enter the industry and be productive and useful and successful. It is an excellent opportunity where you can orient your thinking, and modify the skills you learnt in college, to suit industry expectations. We, at Algologic, take this seriously. And, we expect both the student and his/her institution to be equally serious about this. Please follow these guidelines, strictly. If you have any queries, please send them to info.algolog@gmail.com
A very limited number of computer-science students (B Tech, MCA, M Tech levels) can be accepted for doing their internship project work at Algologic. The following information is for such students who wish to do their internship project work at Algologic. Note that, you are choosing to work at Algologic, out of your own interest or curiosity. You are entirely responsible for the progress and results.
Internship is serious business
To avoid misunderstandings and nasty surprises, please read the following, first: Dr. Partha, whose bio-sketch is available above, will be your guide and mentor.Dr. Partha is accessible by email, at drpartha@gmail.comPlease note that Algologic encourages the use of FOSS -- non-propreitary, open-source products only. In particular, you must be very confident and sure about using Linux, and LaTeX. All documentation, reports, and publications must be done using LaTeX only. Microsoft products, or products and technologies dependent on Microsoft products, are strictly prohibited in Algologic.
Algologic does not charge any fee or seek any monetary compensation for providing guidance, for doing your internship project.
The student should :- Be sure that he/she has the necessary skills.
- Be prepared to buy some books and journals which the guide may recommend.
- Prove that he/she has easy access to the Internet, at home, or in college (Internet cafes are not acceptable).
- choose the topic of your internship. Some focus areas are suggested here. You are fully responsible for the choice you make. Choose a focus area which you can work on comfortably, without too much of effort or re-education. Do not look for fancy topics, or over-ambitious goals. Consult your teachers, and your peers. You can also choose a focus area of your own, if you are sure of what you want to do.

- prepare a project proposal (using LaTeX), based on the
guidelines
given here.
- sign the Code of Conduct, given here.
- get the consent of your parent institution. Your parent institution must give a formal
letter of request as shown in this model.
