It will answer the most frequently asked question -- "why is Linux good for me ?" It will give you lots of supporting material as a response to this question. It will then give you enough material to help you take the first steps into the world of Linux. There is lots of documentation on Linux, in this CD. It also contains ALL the slides used in my presentations/lectures on Linux. I usually give two presentations (90 minutes each) -- (1) overview of Linux, (2) using Linux commands. If you want these presentations done in your institution, please mail me at drpartha@gmail.com This CD serves as a common course handout for both the presentations/lectures. It also contains the entire CD contents, bundled into a single file -- whylinux.tgz. This single file X/fallback/whylinux.tgz , is a tar-gzip archive (19.3 MB). You can use it as a backup, or you can use it, if you want to send this CD contents to someone by e-mail. This CD has 1229 files in 92 directories, and occupies 32 MB (without counting the fallback tgz copy), in its raw (uncompressed) form. A detailed "packing list" is available after this message.
